Ryan Zaideman
Ryan Zaideman is from Dunnellon, Florida. After graduation, he attended the University of West Georgia, where he received his BA in Special Education, MR. He began his coaching career in 1999 with Hall of Fame Coach Stan Davis, at Bowdon High school. Coach Zaideman coached at Bowdon for four years helping the Red Devils obtain an overall record of 105 – 35. This span included; 4 trips to the region championship which resulted in 2 region championships, 4 trips to the state playoffs that include 3 quarter final appearances, 2 semifinal appearances, and 2 State Championship appearances. He was named assistant coach of the year for Region 5A in 2001 and 2002. Coach Zaideman was hired as the Head Coach at Paulding County High School in the summer of 2002. During that time he led the Patriots to their first ever County Championship and from there they went on to win two more. He helped lead PC to a Region 7AAAA Runner-Up, and a trip to the State Playoffs which was the first time the Patriots had hosted a State Playoff game in 15 years. In 2004 he was named an assistant coach for the Georgia Dugout Senior All-State Team. Coach Zaideman later moved to Fannin County where he helped lead the Rebels to a sub-region championship, Region runner-up, and a trip to the State Playoffs. Coach Zaideman went on to work for Hall of Fame Coach David Joiner at McEachern High School where he was the Associate Head Coach. His duties included weight training, hitting, as well as being in charge of Catchers. Ryan Zaideman was hired as the Head Baseball Coach at Carrollton High School in the summer of 2012. He led Carrollton to the State Playoffs each year, along with the AAAA State Championship Crown in 2014. He received the AAAA Georgia Dugout Club Coach of the Year Award in 2014. Coach Zaideman was selected for the honor as the Times Georgian Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2017. He was named as the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Region Coach of the year in 2014, 2017, 2018, and the GACA State Coach of the Year in 2014. In 2015 he was named the Head Coach for the Georgia Dugout Club Senior All-State Team. Coach Zaideman has had multiple programs receive the “Excellence in Academics Award” which is presented by the American Baseball Coaches Association for team GPA. He has also led multiple programs to receive the Georgia Dugout Club Field of the Year Honors. In 2018, He received a national award for Excellence in Field Maintenance. Carrollton was the only high school in the nation selected for this field of the year honor which was presented by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Turface Products. He surpassed the 200 win milestone in 2018. Zaideman’s teams at Carrollton set records for most wins in a season, most wins in the regular season, and longest win streak in the program's 132 year history. His teams also went to the sweet 16, Two elite 8 appearances, and a state championship. Coach Zaideman served on the Georgia Dugout Senior All-State Selection Committee for 3 years. In 2019 Zaideman became an assistant coach at the University of West Georgia for Hall of Fame Coach Skip Fite. Ryan coached Catchers and Outfielders at UWG. He helped them to a 28-25 record as they advanced to the semi-finals of the Gulf South Conference tournament. Ryan later coached with UWG HOF Pitcher Jamie Sexton at Temple High School before moving to Dahlonega, to become the head baseball coach at Lumpkin County. 2023 was Coach Zaideman’s first year as the Head Baseball Coach at Lumpkin County, his team went to the State Playoffs for the first time in 8 years and tied the program's record for most wins in a season. Over Coach Zaideman’s career, he has obtained a winning percentage above .600. He has coached more than 80 players that have gone on to continue their careers at the collegiate level, 13 players that have been selected to the All-State team, and 10 players that have played at the professional level.
Ryan is married to Roxanne, they have two sons, Tate Beaux and Satchel.
