INDIANS PUNCH THEIR TICKET FOR THE GHSA STATE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS

Our homestanding Indians put away a pesky group of Dragons Friday night at the Burial Grounds. Lumpkin jumped out early and at halftime lead Pickens 21-10. However, the Dragons came back out for the second half and scored two touchdowns with a sharp passing game and took the lead 22-21. The coaches and the players got together, and behind the consistent running of Nolan Matthews, slashing runs by Mason Hester, and some timely throws we scored and regained the lead. 29-22 would be the final, although we could have scored again at the end of the game, but chose not to. Class. So, now we are in as team #27 if you had a hard time finding our name in the GHSA Bracket. Team 27 will mount up and travel to Calhoun, GA for our first round game against the Yellowjackets. The contest is November 14, 7:30 PM in Calhoun , GA. Go Indians!!
