LCHS Track Team competed at home on Friday Feb 27. Top performances at the meet were: Nolan Matthews, winning the 100m, Micah Popko 1st in the 200m, Witt Windham won the 3200, Mikey Warchol won the 110m Hurdles and 300m hurdles, LCHS boys also placed 1st in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. Freshman Dalton Cole won the triple jump, Gabe Warchol won the pole vault, and Freshman Major Bennett won the discus and placed 2nd in the discus! The Girls team performed well with Kellyn Cofer winning the 100m and 200m dash with Josie Webb placing 2nd right behind her in both races. Alissa Warne placed 1st in the 400m. Blakely Bell was 2nd in the 800m. Regan Long hurdled her way to a 1st place win in the 100 and 300 hurdles. Bliss Slagle high jumped her way to a 1st place finish, Sophia Nelson was 2nd in the Long Jump and Faith Jones won a 2nd place throw in the discus.
